This cable works great to secure things that you don't want moved or taken. We are using it to secure a table at a middle school outside courtyard. I using a good lock and it works great.
I need a cable to secure mowers, trimmers at the job site during the crew lunch break instead of bringing it back to the truck, because time is money. The cable was long enough to weave through the equipment and.sexire.to.the truck hitch.
I used this to run through the scupper holes on my kayak then to lock to my trailer. The cable is well made with strongly sealed ends. It slid easily through the scupper holes!!
Love the length on the cable. Works really well. I would recommend
I dont have room in my one car garage for my adult tricycle so I have to keep it outside under a tarp and locked up. This 10 ft. cable with loops on each end to hold a lock was just what I thought would do the job, and so far it is working perfectly. I am able to secure my trike to a pillar or bike rack if Im out and about with a strong lock. I know nothing is theft-proof these days if someone really is intent on taking something, but I do feel that I am making it a lot more trouble to get to mine and hopefully the thief has no big wire cutters handy and will just move along and leave it be. The cable is also pretty portable and I can take it along with me and use it wherever I am. I cant afford to replace my trike but this cable is a worthwhile accessory to me.
This multi-purpose locking cable can be used on almost anything. I know it's primarily for kayak boating security but I plan on using it for our family bikes. At 15 feet, I can lock all three of my family bikes whenever we go riding together and stop for lunch or even window shopping. It is made from 1/4 inch steel and vinyl coated so it won't scratch our bikes. I just use a heavy-duty padlock to secure it. I can even secure all 3 bikes to our bike rack at the back of my vehicle and walk away. We like this security cable because it is heavy-duty and secure.
Perfect length to secure my three kayaks to my trailer. The ends fit through the scupper holes. I secured it to my trailer with a lock. This should slow down anyone walking by and just pulling a kayak off the trailer.
The cable is about 1/4" thick so I would not use it where I need high security. I actually like it at the weight it is because it's easier to manage. The length (15') makes it very usable to secure my kayaks to the trailer while traveling and also to secure my trailer when parked at home. I only gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because some might be looking for a cable that is a little heavier.
Fifteen of vinyl coated cable is more than enough cable to secure your kayak to its trailer. The cable looks to be made from quality materials and should remain durable for years. It is very easy to use and could be used for multiple purposes. Locking up multiple bicycles is another example.
I store both my kayaks on my kayak trailer outside. I keep a lock on my trailer tongue, but it's nice having this to actually lock them to the trailer. I'm able to run this down through one kayak, around the trailer, and back up through the other kayak. You can never have to much protection. Most individuals that are up to no good will not have the required equipment to break/cut this. I know nothing is going to stop everyone, but this will detour most.
I have the 15ft version which is more than enough length for securing several kayaks to the rook rack. I also plan to use to lock my ladder to the rack for when I need to pop into the big box home store and want to avoid surprises. This cable won't stop a serious thief but I anticipate that 95% of the risk is the unprepared opportunist and this is a great visible deterrent for that situation. The cable is very study and has a continuous substantial vinyl coating along the full length. The locking loops hardware at the ends are coated with yellow heat shrink tubing so you're protected from car paint scratches. I recommend removing the cable before driving at high speed since it'll flop around unpredictably. My only criticism is the size of the end loops--they are larger than they need to be and may not fit through a small kayak scupper. See photo: You need at least a 1-1/2 size hole.
This is nice, long and sturdy enough for my purpose. Long enough to lock the boat around my car rack if I have to leave it on the car overnight. Also long enough to tie a boat around a tree if I have to leave it while shuttling. The end loops are low profile and easily go through the grab loop. It is not super thick. If someone is really serious to steal my boat, it would be possible. But it would be time-consuming and certainly discouraging, that's all I'm looking for, and this product is great.
This cable fits through the scupper holes of my sit-on-top kayak. I looped it back through itself and secured it with a padlock to one of the welded tie-downs in the back of my pickup truck. While the cable could be cut (any cable can be cut), this extra measure would deter most thieves from grabbing your kayak out of the back of your truck.
This is a really nice, strong vinyl coated steel cable. I am using this to lock my two Hobie kayaks to my trailer. The cable is 10 long which is perfect for securing my kayaks. This cable is thick, yet flexible and can be used to secure just about anything. This is absolutely perfect for my application. I am very happy with all the kayak products that I have gotten from Suspenz. All high quality, well made and an excellent value. This cable is another great product. I highly recommend it.
15 foot length is enough to secure our bicycles, bbq and outdoor chairs at the campsite for an afternoon away. 1/4 inch diameter cable can be hacked with power tools or heavy bolt cutters, but will keep the casual thief from walking away with our stuff.
I was looking for a deterrent to use in the bed of my pickup and this works great! Just a little bit to be able to lock things to the truck body, obviously if someone really wanted to take something they would, but this will definitely make them work harder for it!
This is a high quality cable. It is lightweight and flexible, but also very sturdy and secure. The exterior coating feels durable and well adhered to the cable. The yellow shrink wrap covers and protects the cable crimps and cable ends. It is plenty long enough to fully secure my Suspenz kayak cart and my kayak. Excellent product at a great price point.
