  • Compact & Simple
Our smallest cart with a slight-V (1.5") supports many smaller kayaks to prevent load shifting
  • Ease of Use
No "tool" assembly required for the kayak and canoe transportation cart, just unfold and go with quick-release wheels
  • Guaranteed Protection
Adjustable durable rubber bumpers prevent contact with metal frame
  • Airless Tires
No such thing as a "Flat" tire comes standard with this cart
  • Double the Straps
Two sets of straps means greater support to prevent load shifting

Important: Suspenz Carts are for transport only—storing your kayak on the cart can damage the airless wheels.

Great cart.......with mod.

This cart with 8" wheels works great on paved or smooth surfaces, but struggles on uneven or "rocky" paths. I seperatley purchased 10" wheels and what a difference. Picture is on one of the few portages in the BWCA that allows use of wheels. Pretty rocky and steep in parts, but I had no problems.

The SK and my Shrike are made for each other!

They match perfectly, and it's a breeze to tow the kayak from the car park to the launch site. Congratulations for another great product from Suspenz! By the way, I own a set of Universal Portable Boat Stands and EZ Rack as well. Love the bright yellow and black looks!

best one

We've tried a bunch of kayak carts, suspenz is by far the best - light, collapses down nicely, intuitive, stores nicely. if you can afford it, do your self a favor and don't buy that cheap crap on amazon - get a suspenz cart instead

Easy Setup, Compact Size

I purchased this cart for my Eddyline Sandpiper 12 Kayak. The cart, with tires removed from the frame and the cart frame folded, all fit easily in the stern hatch. I pull the cart around 300 yards to get to the beach and the cart makes this trek easy.

Great Cart. Need wheel chocks

I love this cart, but when you try to put out Kayak on, the wheels roll and the cart moves out from under the Kayak. It should come with wheel chocks or locking wheels. I use my water shoes for chocks and it works. Other than that, it works perfectly and makes moving the Kayak down to the dock a breeze.

Fits my greenland kayak perfectly

I think it's a perfect match for slimmer and lighter sea kayaks. My hard-chined greenland style kayak's hull matches the SK perfectly. The removable wheels and the compact size of the SK make it easy to be stored inside some of the kayak's dry compartment.

Perfect fit for my kayak

I was looking for a lightweight cart for my 32lbs Stitch-and-Glue plywood kayak. The hull has a pronounced "Vee" deadrise which I was rather concerned whether it will match the SK or not. I decided to go ahead with the order after consulting Suspenz, and I am happy that it fit my kayak perfectly! I like its lightweight, ability to fold and easily stowed into my car's trunk although it will fit into my kayak. But to be fair, it is a rolling Greenland kayak which is not designed to take any payload in the first place. I am using it mostly over asphalt, concrete pavements and mowed lawn which the wheels work well.

Works Great

Purchased this to wheel our kayaks from a house we were renting on Cape Cod to a put-in a couple of blocks away. This avoided me having to strain my aging back loading and unloading them on the roof of our car. The cart looks sharp, seems really well made, and is very easy to use. The included straps hold the kayak very securely. I also like how it folds up, came with a mesh storage bag, and that the tires don't need inflating and can't go flat. I'm sure we will find other places to use it in the future.

It will save your back!!! Worth every penny!!!

This is the best thing since sliced bread, unless you're keto obviously! Seriously though, I took this to the lake today, a very busy day where everyone else wanted to kayak as well. Everyone was trying to get a close spot so they wouldn't have to carry their boat too far. Not me. I parked where I wanted and loaded my boat on my cart which took about 30 seconds to get it all strapped on. Rolled it with ease on cement, grass and a bit of sand. I've got an Eddyline Rio which is very light (35lbs). However, I've got back issues which popped up while carrying my boat before I bought this cart. It becomes a lot to carry after a minute. This cart is sturdy and super easy to use. I walk it back to my car but I could probably fit it in my hatch or behind the seat. The wheels come on and off and on super easy! It was clear that people carrying their boats were worn out doing so. Not me anymore! It was a breeze rolling my kayak up and down the hill. Watch the video suspenz has for this product. If the cute old man can do it so can you!!! Back saver I'm telling you!!

Kayak cart

This little cart is perfect. I love that it folds up. Im using it on an Old Town Canoe 119 solo sportsman. Easily rolls on any firm surface, not recommended for sand. (you may need the one with wide wheels for that)

Would purchase again

Works really good and is easy to use only problem I had was the strap on the one leg for the stabling leg broke second time using it and I'm gentle with my things easy fix tho just used a fishing metal leader to connect it back problem fixed ??

John Burnett
underperforming kayak cart

I have a 13-foot, 80-lb Ocean Kayak. It's a big sucker. The specs on the small Suspez kayak cart say it can handle a 100-pound watercraft. DO NOT BUY THIS CART if you have anything approaching 80 pounds. I have tried and tried to make it work and it usually collapses under 80 pounds, like a toy. (Then I have to hail a friendly paddler to help me carry the kayak to the water's edge) It just does not perform as the video shows, much as I love the cool old guy pulling his kayak. I'm going to return it to REI and buy a deluxe which is rated for a heavier boat. Suspenz should rethink its ratings. I'm sure the small kayak cart is indeed fine for "lightweight composites," but a 100-pound kayak is not lightweight.

Hello John, thank you for your feedback as it is always helpful to understand what you experience. The Stowable Kayak (SK) is designed to be able to stow it in many smaller size hatches.
The most important aspect of in selecting an appropriate cart is that the cart fits the bottom of the kayak. If the geometry between cart platform and the bottom of the kayak is not right, the kayak will not fit flat, the load can loosen, and the kayak shifts on the cart. Once this happens, cart folding can occur (this is not a structural, 'strength' failure of the cart, rather the cart does not perform it's function). The Ocean kayak has a pronounced 'V' keel which will not rest properly on the SK Cart. The DLX cart has a 3' mid-V designed into the platform allowing a stable fit. If the 'V' keel on the Ocean Kayak is greater than 3', the Suspenz Deep-V cart (6' V) is the appropriate cart. With a good fit, and securely strapping the kayak to the cart, the kayak and cart will behave as a structural unit and the cart will not fold.
Please contact us if you have questions on choosing the correct cart.

Works well on bumpy, mixed terrain

I got this for my kayak so I can walk from my house to beach access - about two blocks on the road and a short trail through the grass. Its easy to put together, it attaches easily to the kayak, and it has sturdy wheels that handle the varied terrain well. Ive only used a couple of times, and Im still dialing in the connection to the kayak. I think it will work well for my needs though.

Packs smaller and easier to take with you

Nice cart with smaller wheels than some others so it breaks down smaller and fits well in my boat's hatch. Still the wheels were plenty big. I've wheeled it across bumpy hard packed sand and down paved paths without any issues.

Works as advertised.

Worked like a charm. Didnt fall off or even get loose. Easy to use. Pulled a thirty pound canoe about two miles to Lake Julia in DuPont State Forest for a perfect paddle and swim.

Suspenz SK Airless Cart - BUY THIS ONE!

I read many reviews on various carts for my Pungo 105 Kayak. This cart is sturdy, very well engineered and made with the finest materials. The cart has two heavy duty nylon straps and which secure my kayak. The provided kickstand helps stabilize the kayak while I tighten the straps. The solid airless wheels are locked onto the axle with a cotter pin and ring. I would suggest ordering an extra pair of cotter pins just in case you loose one. Customer service was very responsive to my request for an additional pair of cotter pins. The cart easily breaks down and stores in the provided mesh bag. I'm able to place the cart in the hatch in my kayak. THIS CART IS A WINNER!

Fits inside hatch

Well built from aluminum, pneumatic airless tires easy rolling and quiet. This model packs inside hatch of a Jackson Traverse 9 and 10 foot kayak. Should last for some time.

Great product. Compact. Well built. Ease of use.

Well built, good price, easy to put together. Fits in issued bag fully assembled. Have not use yet, but have used others in the past, and this trolley appears to be top notch. I may purchase bungee cords for ease of use, but still leave the straps on for just in case. Very little smell to tires. Almost like new car smell. However, you must be up close to smell. Been in the house for 6 hours, and no smell. Will be using on boardwalks and hard sand, some soft sand, maybe some gravel. I am not Pricilla Queen of the Desert, so Imshould have no trouble at all. Will check back when out and about with the cart. Later all.

Hi,
We're so glad that your new SK Cart seems like it'll be a great fit! Also, if your Priscilla Queen of the Desert status should ever change, we'll have a cart to suit those needs as well! Have a wonderful day!
Thanks,
Sarah & the Suspenz Team

I bought a Suspenz SK Smart Cart in February 2014. I'm

I bought a Suspenz SK Smart Cart in February 2014. I'm more than happy with how well this kayak cart works. It's fast and easy to install on the the kayak and rolls very well. I've used it in river rocks and on rutted roads without a problem. It comes apart so easy and well fit in even the smallest of hatches. The only thing that went wrong was I did get a flat tire and was unable to find a tube locally to fit the tire. I called Suspenz to see if I could buy one from them. They said that they would just send me a whole new wheel, tire and tube free of charge. Within 4 days it was at my door step. [Ed note:this product line has since been updated and now includes airless tires]
I can't say enough good about my dealings with their customer service people. They went over and above as to what I'd expect. As I understand it, the new carts will be upgraded with airless tires which would solve the problem I had with the flat tire
