I feel like our kayaks are securely fastened to our car top carrier. These do take some time to get tightened up for security but replacing a stolen kayak would be far worse!

Bought this to secure our new canoe on top of my truck. Fits our 168 clipper Cascade perfectly. A few wraps around the forward and back roof bars and added a padlock and done. Super simple and convenient. I added a couple Velcro cable ties to the cable to wrap up the cable when not being used. Very happy with the purchase.

Loops on the small will not securely lock in a sit on kayak, Ascend 10T, no matter how tight you make it the loop can simply slide out of loop.

Traveled for a month and stored my kayak on top of my truck as I traveled. I didnt worry about anyone stealing my boat...what a relief. Also appreciated the extra security in regards to boat being well anchored to my truck while driving.

I use these to lock up my kayaks after I strap them in. It is just for extra security because I keep them on my car all summer long, but they are nice and secure with a good lock!

Fits out 17 and 16.5 foot kayaks with room to wrap around a dock support. Now we can keep the kayak down on the dock.

I purchased these as an extra bit of security for over night stops at hotels while traveling. I use them on 2 Epic surfskis( V8's, 18' long) and they fit as I envisioned. The boats have cloth travel bags so no fear of surface damage to the boats. I bring both cables to the rear roof rack on my Truck cap and pad lock them together to the rack. I do not use them while traveling during the day but use a locking tie down strap. Short of someone stealing the truck I feel the boats were very secure.

Works great! It did take a little while how best to attach to my rack and yak but once I did, aces! I use it on an xterra with Yakima kayak rack on factory bars. Its a 17 Seda and the piece of mind I now have that I can go for a paddle and then run errands without fear of a bad guy making off with my baby is/was well worth the price.

Bought two, small sized cable systems to secure two 8ft kayaks to trees and posts when not in use.

Works fine with a Necky brand 14' Manitou model kayak.

Kayak Small size fits my 15.5 ft sea kayak perfectly after wrapping it around each crossbar. Won't protect against pre-planned theft with tools, but will stop an impulse theft.

Used this for a 10 foot kayak which is on a storage rack in the yard, and it works perfect.

If you would like to use your own lock this is the system to buy. The cable is adequate to deter any thief. Unless they have a bolt cutter which no cable is safe. I like that it is flexible and easy to stow in the kayak or in the car.

Rather than transport our kayaks back to our original launch site while paddling Buggs Island Lake in Virginia we decided to try out the Kayak Locking Cables we recently purchased from Suspenz. Talk about ease of operation and a fantastic feeling of security! After securing our kayaks to a fallen tree we had no qualms about the boats being out of sight over two nights. It would have been easier to chain saw the tree than cut through the Suspenz Locking Cables. Once again Suspenz has provide a high quality product.
