Works pretty well on hard ground, there is a learning curve for attaching the kayak to the platform so that it doesn’t fall of if the wheels hit a tree root or other bump. If you often will use it on soft sand I would highly recommend the balloon tires as the hard ones dig into the sand.

I like that you can take the wheels off easily to store it in the kayak so you don't have to leave it on shore. My wife needed this as she can't lug the kayak around by herself, and it's easy enough for her to load and use on her own.

Great cart for transporting our kayak. Very well made, easy to assemble and works perfectly to transport our 14' Wilderness kayak. Cart folds up and fits nicely in the included storage bag.

I've now used my cart several times, most recently on an overnight solo kayaking trip that had a total of six portages. I strapped the cart onto the back of my sit-in 15' kayak and the kayak was still just as stable and the cart was invaluable on the portages. Some of the portages had steep and very rocky sections and the cart still performed well as long as I picked my path with some care. Highly recommended.

Was able to get one kayak up easily straps too short for two

Bought for my Vibe Yellowfin 130t. Needed something exactly like this for when I Kayak solo. My Yak is a beast just to get down/up on my truck, but this thing makes it a breeze to walk it down to the lake. I just put this thing about 1/4 of way in under my Yak, strap it up and off I go. Buy it!

Does great with my heavy yak, fully loaded down. The double straps keep everything secure. Its a nice solid build with good wheels for most terrain was tough but doable on sand. The only thing that I dont like is that it doesnt break down small. The wheels come off but its not practical to keep on my yak while in the water. I have another cart from Field & Stream that isnt nearly as good.

After spending a couple hours researching canoe carts I purchased the Suspenz Smart Airless DLX Cart. Upon unboxing, I was immediately impressed with the engineering and how easy it was to assemble. Just pop the wheels on, insert the pins, cinch the straps on your canoe/kayak, and you're ready to rock! The other carts I looked at had so many moving parts and pieces to assemble that I could foresee all the issues when it came time to use it. Also, I had a question and called Suspenz directly. I spoke to Ian and retook the time to answer my question and give me some tips and techniques to optimize it's use. Bravo!

Being young and having back surgery really stinks. Especially when you love camping and kayaking! This nifty dolly allows me to keep my items stored in the shed. I can easily haul my 85 lb canoe through the yard which is cut grass and tree roots. No issues moving it! Also use it for my 80 lb Kayak. As long as you don't put it right in the middle, it'll work just fine!

Easy to use

Easy to assemble at site. Good elevation for rolling. Sturdy wheels. Straps and buckle secure the kayak. It works better than I expected.

This is a great, compact cart. I strap it around the kayak cockpit to avoid any slippage and it works like a charm. easy to store and a great assistant on long portages.

We purchased another brand first and they were crap. We bought a set of this and it makes dragging our kayaks to the beach effortless. Save yourself some money and start with this carrier. Works great for our stand up paddle boards too

I have 2 one man kayaks. Can actually put one on top of the other and easily pull them one block to the beach. Has made getting them there so easy for this 64 year old woman!

Brilliantly engineered. Would have been helpful for written directions, e.g., how to connect straps.

Hauled a 13.5ft Trident Ocean Kayak loaded with gear through some pretty rough ground with no problems. I was pleasantly surprised by it's ability to handle beating and banging over rocks, washed up trees, and oyster beds along Apalachicola Bay.

Great quality and exactly as advertised. I have been asked by other kayakers at the lake for the detailsMakes transportation to the lake easy and saves you from straining your back.

small, compact, easy to assembly, carry, I just put it in the bag right onto the front of my kayak. Works great!

Used for a portage trip, about 8km of hauling. Straps stayed put except for one time. Wheels actually soften a bit and improved the ride. Rubber hull pads did shift, so pay attention to those. I empty out my canoe except for paddle, fishing rod, and safety gear. So 60ish pounds and it rolls up and over everything on the trail. A taller wheel version would be awesome, but this one did not disappoint.

Bought the ascend brand first because that's what my kayak is. It broke within 5 minutes of the first time using it. A friend recommended this one so I figured it could be worse. Got it took it to the same spot the first one broke and it made the trip. Have had it a few mo the now and several other trips put on it. The only complaint is that if it sits with the kayak on it for a week or so it gets a flat spot on the tires. As long as I don't leave the kayak on it in the garage it's fine. Easily breaks down to be taken on the float trip. Would recommend! Make taking my 77lb kayak out MUCH easier! We'll worth the money!

The canoe dolly (as we call it) is fantastic. Used about a dozen times and performed perfectly. Easy to assemble and use. Would highly recommend this product.

Got the new Suspenz Smart Airless DLX Cart tonight... I don't have time to go kayaking tonight but I wanted to check out the cart. So I put the straps and the wheels on. I went outside and got the kayak (a 12.5' Wilderness Pungo) out of storage and strapped it to the cart. Easier than I thought, not that I thought it would be particularly hard. My wife and I have a sloped drive way, about 60 feet long and it drops about 6 feet to the street. There's cracks and a pothole in it, so it's not super smooth. I pulled and pushed it up and down the driveway a couple of times. The kayak stayed just where I put it. Not bad. But it's not really a great test. I glanced over at the front yard... it too is sloped, but it's also dirt and weeds as I had most of the dirt that was dug out for the addition dumped there. The escavators mostly smoothed it out but we haven't done any landscaping work on it. Right now it's dirt and weeds. I thought "Hey this could make for a fairly good replica of a lake shore (see picture)." I towed the kayak up and down that a couple of times. It bounced a couple of times, but the kayak stayed not the cart. I think this is going to work out well. If my neighbors were watching, they probably wondered what the ---- I was doing... but they probably wonder that anyway. I may update this review after I take it to a real lake or two

Really easy to assemble. Carrying bag is helpful too. No complaints.
