Bought it for a canoe. Problems is the supports dont work in the lowest/widest position because they rub on the tires. Seems like an obvious design flaw to miss.
The cart is solid and durable. It is strong enough to carry two 60 lbs. kayaks with some creative loading. I've used it regularly over the past two years, and it has held up very well. It is great for transporting a kayak over rough terrain. I wish the locking pins were better attached. The clips that hold the locking pins bend and the pins can be lost. A second weakness is the pads that hold the kayak are slippery. It would be nice if they were slip resistant, because the kayak sometimes slides and shifts on the cart. Overall, definitely worth the money.
This is an EXCELLENT cart! It is easy to slide my kayak on, easy to tighten the straps, and super easy to move my kayak, even on a hill. The design uses the kayak's point of balance to make it feel almost weightless. The cart folds easily, but I rarely need the extra space. I love being independent (I'm under 5 feet tall) and this allows me to transport my kayak from my Forester (9'6" kayak) or F250 (12' kayaks).
I'm 76, and after a few decades of climbing, Mt. Biking and X-C skiing, etc., I switched over to sea kayaking. I just bought your All-Terrain-Airless Cart; after trying and rejecting several of your competitors. A++! What a boon for the busted-up aging and broken-down demographic.
Your cart not only works as you claim, but allows me to transport my loaded kayak from truck to water and then into the water. I believe that your powder-coated product will withstand the ravages of salt water as well.
I now - happily - regard transport/portage work as just another part of the activity.
Will not work for all kayaks. I purchased this for my ascend 133X Tournament kayak as its 13 and 125lbs with nothing on it. The adjustable arm supports really dont work at any positions without rubbing the bottom of the kayak on the tires.
