Easy to install

I installed these straps on the garage wall to hold my fishing kayak. They work well and protect my kayak.

DLX Strap Storage System

Noticed another customer comment and I too just recently had the same problem where the plastic buckle snapped and the boat hit the garage floor. This a very nice space-saving storage system, but when the buckle gave way, I thought how dumb that the piece wasn't made of metal. I hand tied after breakage, and yesterday the knot slipped and the Old Town Vapor10 (47#-49#) fell again against my wife's vehicle. Bought this on 10/4/16. Could have been a five star rating if it wasn't for an inadequate piece that maybe cost under a buck.

We listened and have changed the plastic buckles to metal buckles... When talking with Mr. Miller we agreed to send him a new set of straps for now and when the new metal buckles come in we will send him a set of them as well. All future straps will have the metal buckle. Thanks for the feedback.

Good system,plastic buckle is the weak link

I have used this strap storage system for 3 years for my Wilderness 14ft Kayak.. The plastic buckle that provides adjustment of the strap has broken. Since this part is stitched into a short strap that also contains the metal hook, this part is essentially not repairable. Had it broken while my car was parked next to it, serious damage would have occurred to my automobile.
